We are seeking a full time AM Pastry Prep Cook for our new restaurant in Santa Monica. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn while makeing modern interpretation of French classics such as mille-feuille, St. Honoré, various entermets, laminated breads, plus gelato and sorbet. We are a high-end modern French restaurant with a small team focused on creating amazing products for our guests. We aim to create a fun, dynamic, and innovative atmosphere in our kitchen. You will be working closely with our Pastry Chef and the Management Team. The candidate should have a good attitude, can work independently, a strong work ethic, professional training and experience. Pastry Cook Duties and Responsibilities Bake pastry items according to pre-established recipes Decorate pastries in a consistent style Follow portion standards Maintain inventory of prepped ingredients Properly label and store ingredients Keep kitchen area and tools clean Pastry Cook Requirements and Qualifications Pastry-making experience The ability to stand for long periods of time Basic math skills Attention to detail A sense of urgency A flexible schedule, especially during the holidays
